The Lindis Group Guest Services Manager
Jenny, tell us about your role and what you do for The Lindis Group?
As Guest Services Manager for The Lindis Group, I manage all reservations and ensure that ahead of your arrival we have as much information to make your stay as personalised as possible. Along with our guests, I tailor make their best possible stay so they can enjoy everything The Lindis Experience has to offer.
Tell us about your previous experience and background.
Originally from Auckland working within the legal industry, I moved to the Ahuriri Valley with my partner, Head Chef Dane Archery. While exploring the South Island after the 1st lock down in 2020, we were lured to The Lindis for short time employment, but we quickly fell in love with the area and decided to both sign on for permanent roles. The change of phase is exactly what I was after.
After many years at Belly Gully and time spent working within the philanthropic community at the Auckland Communities Foundation, the skills I’ve gained has proved incredibly helpful to my current role.
What is your favourite thing to do onsite or in the area?
Living and working at The Lindis in the Ahuriri Valley is a dream come true. From exploring the valley on foot, to swimming in the river in the hot summer months, there are so many things to enjoy. Although, nothing quite compares to how much I love being around the horses. I’ve been lucky enough to have our Stables Manager, Olivia, impart her years of expertise and teach me how to ride. Achieving a true lifelong goal.
Lastly, what do you love most about New Zealand?
New Zealand has the best of everything; Beaches, mountains, lakes, snowy winters and hot summers. I’ve been lucky enough to explore many parts of this country, but I’m happy to say that living in the Waitaki, Central Otago region is the best in New Zealand.
