Villa Concierge Manager
Ruth, tell us about your role and what you do at Mt Isthmus?
I provide an unique, highly personalised service that delivers exceptional care for when you are in residence. I pride myself on operating with professionalism and confidentiality. My job is making sure that all your requirements while in residence are taking care off to the highest standard.
Tell us a about your previous experience and background?
Born and raised in Patagonia, Argentina. I moved to Buenos Aires to study my hospitality degree. I have over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry and in property management. I have developed international experience at properties such as The Sheraton Buenos Aires and The Regent Sydney, a FourSeasons Hotel. I have managed the entire Food & Beverage division as well as Guest Services Department at some of New Zealand’s finest lodges: Blanket Bay and Matakauri Lodge. I have developed and taught Food & Beverage courses at Queenstown Resort College, one of NZ’s premier educational institution for excellence in hospitality
What is your favourite thing to do onsite or in the area?
In winter I enjoy skiing, specially Cardrona and Treble Cone. In summer I love walking my gorgeous dog, Dusky and paddle boarding with him. One of my favourite things while working at Mt Isthmus is the drive first thing in the morning when Lake Hāwea is absolutely flat and the sun is just rising and the farm animals are grazing on the paddocks by the property. So peaceful and tranquil.
Lastly, what do you love most about New Zealand?
I love the limitless opportunities NZ has to offer. I love the stunning outdoor beauty, the clean environment and the adventurous energy that people have here.
