The wine is rich, deeply coloured, exhibiting velvety dark berry jammy notes. The cassis, plum and vibrant spicy bouquet are complimented by generous sweet fruit and ripe lush tannins.
- The Vineyard – The Syrah block vines are dry grown without irrigation. The vines are hand pruned and bud numbers are controlled to create a vine balance. Extensive canopy management is carried to control high vigour in wetter seasons and all vineyard activities are carried out by hand with little use of machinery, ensuring both vine and fruit are carefully managed.
- The Winemaking – The fruit was gently handpicked in small open crates in order to preserve the integrity of the fruit and ensure all fruit was both ripe and unspoiled. Oak aged for 16 months in French Barriques - Well worth cellaring for years to come!
