Vineyard History
Established on a limestone escarpment near Duntroon, Clos Ostler has been part of the evolution of the Waitaki Valley as a serious cool-climate wine region for more than two decades.
From the first vines planted in 2002 to new plantings, new wines and the introduction of the Vineyard Suites, the estate continues to evolve while remaining grounded in the vineyard and the character of its singular site.

Stewardship Today
Since 2021, the focus has been on thoughtfully evolving Clos Ostler while preserving the qualities that made the vineyard significant in the first place.
Continued investment in new plantings, vineyard health, the wines and the wider estate reflects a long-term approach to stewardship, with the vineyard remaining at the centre of every decision.
