Connor represents the family behind Clos Ostler, working across the estate’s wines, international relationships and guest experience. He hosts selected tastings and events at the vineyard and abroad, sharing the story of Clos Ostler, its vintages and its place in the Waitaki Valley.

Timbo Deaker

Timbo oversees the viticultural direction of Clos Ostler, working with the vineyard block by block and season by season. His approach centres on vine health and the long-term development of the site, ensuring vineyard decisions remain responsive to the conditions of each growing year.

Sarah-Kate & Dan Dineen

Sarah-Kate and Dan work with Clos Ostler to translate each growing season into wine. Their role spans winemaking, blending and the technical development of the wines, working closely with the estate to preserve the individual character of each release.

Namesakes

The name Clos (pronounced "klo") is derived from the French term for an enclosed vineyard, reflecting the limestone wall that surrounds the estate. Ostler honours the family whose vision first established the vineyard, preserving an important part of its history.

Caroline's Pinot Noir honours Caroline, whose dedication during the vineyard's formative years helped shape the estate's early character.

EOS Pinot Noir takes its name from the Greek goddess of dawn. Sourced from the vineyard's east-facing slopes, where the first morning light reaches the vines.
