Sitting on a 7000 acre station, the Mt Isthmus villa looks out over Lake Hāwea — which is one of New Zealand’s best kept secrets. Rugged and steep mountain ranges climb straight out of the lake’s shores on all sides, and with some of the clearest waters in the country it really is a sight to be savoured.

You can access Mt Isthmus by vehicle, or by helicopter flying over the nearby ranges before landing at our onsite heli pad.

TRAVELLING VIA VEHICLE

From Wanaka

Mt Isthmus is roughly 30 minutes via vehicle from Wanaka. Travel through Albert Town and then follow Lake Hawea to the villa.

From Queenstown

Mt Isthmus is roughly 1.5 hours via vehicle from Queenstown Airport. Travel across the Crown Range and through Wanka or through Gibbston Valley (2 hours) on to Lake Hawea.

From Dunedin

Mt Isthmus is roughly 4 hours via vehicle from Dunedin Airport. Travel through Roxburgh and Cromwell and then on to Lake Hawea.
