Elise Landon

The Lindis Operations Manager

Elise, tell us about your role and what you do at The Lindis?

I have been the Operations Manager at The Lindis for almost 3 years now and my role is to ensure every guests get the absolute best experience once they step into the lodge. I love hearing about the guests stay upon departure and knowing we have created some great memories for them to cherish. I especially love organising elopements, it is such a special time for the guests and a beautiful event to witness. The best reward is to welcome returning guests!

Tell us about your previous experience and background.

Originally from a little town near Paris, France, I graduated the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (Switzerland) in 2018. I have been working in hospitality for a few years now, from Mandarin Oriental to Accor hotels in Malaysia, Spain, Thailand and the USA. New Zealand has always been a dream destination of mine and I have been lucky to call it home for the past 3 years.

What is your favourite thing to do onsite or in the area?

I love to explore the valley on e-bikes, I had never done e-biking before coming here and it is truly a game changer. I also love to take a dip in the Ahuriri River in summer- it doesn’t get much refreshing than this!

Lastly, what do you love most about New Zealand?

  • There is something special about New Zealand and its biodiversity. I love that both islands are so different and allow you to do such a wide range of activities. From skiing down South, to diving up North and hiking on the beautiful National Parks nearby- there is truly something for everyone!
